Basketball Game Preview: Mercer County Golden Eagles vs. Rockridge Rockets

Mercer County is 1-8 against Rockridge since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mercer County Golden Eagles will head out to face off against the Rockridge Rockets at 7:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Mercer County ended up a good deal behind Morrison and lost 69-51.

Meanwhile, Rockridge posted their biggest win since February 15th on Thursday. They put the hurt on Rock Falls with a sharp 62-41 victory.

Rockridge pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Mercer County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Things could have been worse for Mercer County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-31 loss to Rockridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Mercer County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
