            Baseball Preview: Hackettstown Tigers vs. Delaware Valley Terriers        
        
		
        
        
            The Hackettstown Tigers will square off against the Delaware Valley Terriers at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Hackettstown is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
It was a proper cat-fight when Hackettstown duked it out with Kittatinny Regional on Thursday. The Tigers blew past the Cougars 13-1. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.
 Joey Rowinski was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 4-for-4. He also put up two  doubles, which were his first of the season.  Jacob Echandy was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Hackettstown was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Delaware Valley's offense. They fell just short of Rutgers Prep by a score of  1-0 on Thursday. The Terriers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Hackettstown pushed their record up to 5-0 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 9.3 runs thus far. As for Delaware Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Hackettstown couldn't quite finish off Delaware Valley when the teams last played  back in May of 2024 and fell  6-4. Can the Tigers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
