Volleyball Recap: Marlborough Takes Down Ranked Nipmuc Regional

Marlborough faced Nipmuc Regional in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Warriors 3-2. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Marlborough got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-20, 29-31, 25-16, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Nipmuc Regional lost, don't look at Evan Donlan. Despite the final result, he had 20 digs and two assists. Donlan is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games he's played.
