Basketball Recap: Western International Takes a Loss

Western International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southeastern Jungaleers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-49 two weeks ago.

Western International's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Southeastern, their victory bumped their record up to 4-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western International will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. Southeastern also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Clintondale at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
