Baseball Recap: Peoria Takes a Loss

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Champaign Central Maroons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-2 on Wednesday.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Champaign Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoria will face off against Normal West at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Champaign Central, they will square off against Mattoon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
