Southwest barely beat Maywood/Hayes Center the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Roughriders put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Roughriders in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won six in a row.

Kyra Nelms paced Southwest's offense, picking up 22 kills. Nelms got some help from Aspen Billeter and her 36 assists. Anikka Nelms controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Southwest's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-8.
