Softball Recap: United South Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Thursday. United South took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Medina Valley.

Andrea Guerrero was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

Guerrero wasn't the only one working in the home run department: United South lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

United South's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-10-1. As for Medina Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

United South wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-1 loss against Eagle Pass on the 19th. As for Medina Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 9-2 victory against Del Rio on the 18th.
