Highmore/Harrold is 8-2 against Stanley County since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will challenge the Buffalos at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Highmore/Harrold has three straight victories, Stanley County has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Highmore/Harrold barely beat Lyman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Raiders on Tuesday.

Highmore/Harrold never let Lyman on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Stanley County lost 3-0 to Kadoka on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-4.

Stanley County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Highmore/Harrold, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Highmore/Harrold skirted past Stanley County 3-2 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
