Football Recap: Audra Guillory Leads El Capitan's Defense on Tuesday

The El Capitan Vaqueros came up short against the Francis Parker Lancers on Tuesday and fell 25-13.

Despite the loss, El Capitan still got an impressive performance from Kylee Frazier, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 186 yards and one TD while completing 72.2% of her passes.

Even if they lost, El Capitan's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Audra Guillory. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven.

El Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Francis Parker, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, El Capitan will welcome Steele Canyon at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Vaqueros 12.2, the Cougars 5.7) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Francis Parker, they are taking a road trip to square off against Santa Fe Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Lancers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
