Baseball Recap: Poynette Takes a Loss

Poynette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Adams-Friendship Green Devils, falling 9-2. If the Pumas were looking for revenge after losing 9-5 to the Green Devils when the teams met back in May of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Poynette saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Webster, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Webster got this season.

Poynette's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Adams-Friendship, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Poynette will look to defend their home field on Friday against New Glarus at 5:00 p.m. As for Adams-Friendship, they will take on Sauk Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
