Volleyball Recap: Dos Palos Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dos Palos was the 3-0 winner over Torres when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncos fell 3-1 to the Toros on Thursday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Dos Palos still got an impressive performance from Hailey Portillo, who had 12 digs and four aces. Portillo is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilliana Gonzales, who had 16 digs.

Dos Palos' defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Torres, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Dos Palos has already played their next contest (against Hanford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Torres, they are taking a road trip to face off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Toros their first taste of in-conference action this season.
