Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Grace Christian Academy lost against North Florida Christian back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Grace Christian Academy Cougars took a blow against the North Florida Christian Eagles, falling 75-47. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

North Florida Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jed Dickens, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Dickens is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jace Riggan, who posted eight points in addition to nine assists and three steals.

Grace Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for North Florida Christian, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fullington Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. North Florida Christian and Maclay will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
