Basketball Game Preview: Valley Central Vikings vs. Cornwall Central Dragons

The Valley Central Vikings and the Cornwall Central Dragons will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Valley Central had taken Goshen Central down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Vikings lost 53-31 to the Gladiators. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cornwall Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 68-35 win over Monticello. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Valley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cornwall Central, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Valley Central came up short against Cornwall Central when the teams last played back in March, falling 50-45. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
