Basketball Recap: Ellie Morgan and Kylie Carrington Secure Win for T.C. Roberson

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against A.C. Reynolds, T.C. Roberson was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Brevard Blue Devils as the T.C. Roberson Rams made off with a 52-29 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 467th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

T.C. Roberson was led to victory by Kylie Carrington and Ellie Morgan. Carrington went 9-for-12 to rack up 23 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Morgan went 7-for-17 on her way to 19 points and three steals. Morgan is becoming a predictor of T.C. Roberson's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 6-2 (and 3-12 when she doesn't). Addison Carrington was another key player, putting up seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.

T.C. Roberson's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Brevard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
