Escondido Charter moved up to 870 from 972 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Manzanita. The White Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of topping Tri-City Christian 42-14.
Crawford added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Foothills Christian, 68-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Holtville's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Clayton Bowler threw for 82 and 2 touchdowns and Jack Lindsay had 32 yards receiving. On the ground Bowler contributed 152 yards. Esteban Pacheco helped Holtville's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 22 yards.
The Vikings' dynamic duo of Bowler and Lindsay proved to be unstoppable against San Luis, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pacheco helped Holtville's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 22 yards.
Vincent Memorial's DANIEL PALMA and ALEJANDRO GARCIA have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. PALMA has thrown for 595 yards this season, while GARCIA, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 11 catches for 211 yards. Bowler from Holtville leads the league in rushing with 650 yards.
Crawford took down the Knights 68-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brandon Thai threw for 25 yards and ran for 57 yards during the win.
