Football Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Middletown's offense. They lost 21-0 to the Susquehanna Township HANNA on Friday. The Blue Raiders have struggled against the HANNA recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Harrison Ortiz threw for 40 yards on three of 14 attempts. Javon Mosley was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Gavin Paul rushed for 51 yards on only six carries.

Torin Evans had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 135 yards and one TD while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 220 yards and one touchdown for Susquehanna Township. Evans' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Susquehanna Township, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Middletown will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Line Mountain at 2:00 p.m. The Blue Raiders will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Susquehanna Township, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-21 victory against East Pennsboro on the 3rd.
