Football Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown fell victim to Susquehanna Township and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the HANNA, falling 21-0. The Blue Raiders have struggled against the HANNA recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Harrison Ortiz threw for 40 yards on three of 14 attempts. Javon Mosley was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Gavin Paul rushed for 51 yards on only six carries.

It was another big night for Torin Evans, who rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 186 yards and one TD for Susquehanna Township. Evans' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Susquehanna Township, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Middletown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-26 defeat against Line Mountain on the 4th. As for Susquehanna Township, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-21 victory against East Pennsboro on the 3rd.
