Softball Recap: Bayfront Charter Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ocean View Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bayfront Charter). They blew past the Ocean View Christian Patriots 14-2 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Sharks needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Ariana Carbajal spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bayfront Charter let Ahloni Garcia and Carolina Vidrio run wild. Garcia went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs, while Vidrio went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Vidrio's first of the season. Anahi Del Rosario was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
