Softball Recap: Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Comes Up Short

The matchup between Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond and Central A & M on Thursday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Knights lost 15-5 to the Raiders. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was SOPHIA MONTS, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Another was ANNABELLE VANAUSDOLL, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Central A & M, their record now sits at 13-15.

Looking ahead, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will be taking part in a tournament against Sullivan at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Redskins will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. Central A & M does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
