While Anaheim's win against Bolsa Grande wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colonists had just enough and edged out the Matadors 5-4 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Colonists in their matchups with the Matadors: they've now won three in a row.

Gabriel Lopez got the start for Anaheim and what a start it was: he tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Anaheim's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Sanchez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple. Another was Issaic Gonzalez, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Anaheim's record now sits at 9-7. As for Bolsa Grande, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.
