Basketball Recap: South Central Piles Up the Points Against Fairfield

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Central had no problem doing just that on Monday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 63-26 victory over the Fairfield Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Timberwolves have posted since January 19, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabel Hackney, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. Hackney has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cashton Leeper, who on her way to 33 points.

South Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

South Central's record now sits at 9-10. As for Fairfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
