The St. Mary's Pirates will challenge the Salida Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Mary's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 12 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

St. Mary's fell victim to Lamar and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Thunder, falling 9-0. Meanwhile, Salida entered their tilt with James Irwin on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Jaguars.

Eben Mayton and Hawkin Sather scored both of Salida's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Salida, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
