Basketball Recap: Christian Community Comes Up Short on the Road Against Reimer Road Baptist Christian

Christian Community had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Reimer Road Baptist Christian Golden Eagles by a score of 39-36 on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Reimer Road Baptist Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaiden Blubaugh, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Kellan Burke was another key player, putting up 17 points and five rebounds.

Reimer Road Baptist Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Community will challenge Heritage Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reimer Road Baptist Christian, they will be playing at home against Westside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
