Softball Recap: Millard North Mustangs vs. Elkhorn South Storm
Millard North entered their tilt with Elkhorn South on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Elkhorn South Storm 8-7. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Hayden Nelson was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Abby Beard, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Millard North's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Elkhorn South, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
