Baseball Recap: Tri-County RVT Comes Up Short

Tri-County RVT fell victim to Old Colony RVT and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of Old Colony RVT by a score of 1-0. Tri-County RVT just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.

Noah Roche spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tri-County RVT is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Tri-County RVT saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Roche, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Tri-County RVT now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Old Colony RVT, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-County RVT will head out to challenge Norfolk County Agricultural at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Old Colony RVT, they will challenge Bristol-Plymouth RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
