Softball Recap: St. Paul's Takes Down Ranked Phillips Exeter Academy

St. Paul faced Phillips Exeter Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Big Red never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Big Red also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Paul's and bumps their season record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Phillips Exeter Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Paul's will face off against rival Milton Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Phillips Exeter Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Phillips Academy at 2:00 p.m. on the 24th.
