Basketball Recap: Van Nuys Comes Up Short

Van Nuys was the 57-54 winner over Reseda when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Van Nuys Wolves came up short against the Reseda Regents on Friday, falling 81-57. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Van Nuys lost, don't look at Steven Tu. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Rivas, who earned 14 points.

Leading Reseda to victory were Anthony White and Cameron Jones. White put up 29 points, while Jones had 17 points and seven steals. The game was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. Donte Robinson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Van Nuys' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Reseda, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Van Nuys has already played their next matchup, a 70-58 defeat against Sylmar on the 29th. As for Reseda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-68 win against Kennedy on the 27th.
