Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 20-7 to the Fairfield Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-8 on Monday.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Fairfield, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Mt. Pleasant didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-4 win against New London on the 4th. As for Fairfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Fort Madison on the 5th.
