Basketball Game Preview: Morgan Raiders vs. John Glenn Little Muskies

The Morgan Raiders will head out to take on the John Glenn Little Muskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Morgan is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Fort Frye on Wednesday. Morgan skirted past Fort Frye 45-43.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask John Glenn). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat River View 78-40. The Little Muskies pushed the score to 55-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Black Bears had little chance of recovering from.

Morgan better focus on containing Stehl Bates and Brayden Davis as the pair were huge in John Glenn's win. Bates posted 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Davis dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in points. William Nicolozakes was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for John Glenn and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Morgan, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Morgan ended up a good deal behind John Glenn in their previous meeting back in February, losing 65-48. Can Morgan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
