Basketball Recap: String Theory Takes a Loss

String Theory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 68-47 to the Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Rockets. String Theory was probably out for revenge after losing 63-62 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Science Leadership Academy at Beeber's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Holland, who posted 18 points. Holland's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aziz Collins, who had 16 points.

String Theory's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9.

String Theory and TECH Freire Charter will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, they will head out to challenge Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
