It was a good run, but  Milledgeville unfortunately witnessed the end of their  seven-match winning streak on Monday. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fulton Steamers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Steamers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  2-1  on September 9th.
 The  2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22,  25-22.
 Fulton found their leader in sophomore  Brianne Brennan, who  had nine  assists and five  digs.
Milledgeville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Fulton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Milledgeville is set to  take on  their familiar foe Eastland  at 1:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fulton will  challenge  rival Morrison  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
