Basketball Recap: Webster Drops Season-High Score on Mercy School Institute

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Webster). They breezed by the Mercy School Institute Mustangs to the tune of 72-26 on Thursday. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Webster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Kimble, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Franklin, who went 5 for 6 en route to 12 points.

Webster was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Taim Salkini and Laith Alkalani certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Salkini posted ten points, while Alkalani earned seven points.

Webster's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Mercy School Institute, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Webster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-48 defeat against Okmulgee on the 17th. As for Mercy School Institute, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
