Volleyball Recap: Cesar Chavez Comes Up Short

Cesar Chavez lost to Marcos de Niza back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Champions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Padres. The Champions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Cesar Chavez actually scored more points across those four sets (89-88), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 12-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Francis Karl Pilar was a one-man wrecking crewfor Marcos de Niza as he had 12 digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave Pilar a new career-high in assists (13).

Cesar Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Cesar Chavez will challenge Boulder Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marcos de Niza, they will take on Browne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
