Basketball Recap: Dunbar's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Dunbar's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Clewiston Tigers 61-39. The win was a breath of fresh air for Dunbar as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Dunbar's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cloudy Dor'Juste, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That's the most points Dor'Juste has posted since back in December of 2023. Jamari Cobb was another key player, going 7 for 15 on his way to 17 points.

Dunbar's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Clewiston, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Dunbar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-54 victory against Canterbury on the 29th. As for Clewiston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaBelle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
