It's playoff time, and Doherty had no trouble coming through when it counted. They snuck past the Legacy Lightning with a 25-21 victory on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won four games in a row.

Nelah Thompson threw for 106 yards and one touchdown. Jada Symons was her top target, picking up 77 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Sontee Keys rushed for 72 yards.

Despite the loss, Legacy still got an impressive performance from Gianna Schmidt, who threw for 212 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 56 yards.

Doherty's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Doherty has already played their next matchup, a 32-12 loss against Legend on the 18th. Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
