McPherson waltzed into their game on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They never let the Buhler Crusaders get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Bullpups have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Ian Razak, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Buhler off the board. Razak has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Isaac Barnett was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four RBI and one double. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Richardson, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
McPherson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Buhler only posted an OBP of .136.
McPherson's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-3. As for Buhler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-9.
Coming up, McPherson will head out on the road to take on Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bullpups are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a six-game losing streak. Buhler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
