Gilroy got a massive performance out of Evan Passama, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and a stolen base. Carter Martinez was another key contributor, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
On Silver Creek's side, Michael Fonseca made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Keith Truong, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Gilroy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-20. As for Silver Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
