Recap: South Lenoir Blue Devils vs. North Lenoir Hawks
The South Lenoir Blue Devils can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past North Lenoir with a 29-24 victory. The win was just what South Lenoir needed coming off of a 52-28 defeat in their prior contest.
South Lenoir can attribute much of their success to Tyazhia Midgett, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Tyndall, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, North Lenoir still got an impressive performance from Shamaya Lynch, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ta'Sheena Lynch, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
South Lenoir's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for North Lenoir, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Kinston the next time they take the court. North Lenoir will host Kinston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while South Lenoir will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
