Baseball Preview: Cheshire Rams vs. Hamden Dragons
Cheshire and Hamden are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Rams will take on the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Cheshire has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Cheshire took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Branford 13-12. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Gavin Hale looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
