Basketball Recap: Salmon Comes Up Short

Salmon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 53-20 defeat at the hands of the Firth Cougars. The contest marked the Savages' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Firth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shelbie Perry, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Christensen, who earned 15 points.

Salmon's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Firth, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salmon will square off against West Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Firth, they will face off against North Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
