If Providence was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Holy Martyrs Armenian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers fell 3-1 to the Oakwood Owls on Wednesday. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

While Providence ultimately came up short, they really made Oakwood work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 27-25, 25-19.

Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Oakwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Providence will face off against de Toledo at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakwood, they will host Holy Martyrs Armenian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
