Basketball Recap: GV Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Founders Classical Academy

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but GV Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Founders Classical Academy Centurions as they made off with a 49-27 win. This was a revenge game for the Guardians: when they faced off against the Centurions last Tuesday, they had to take a 52-43 loss.

Nick Madsen was his usual excellent self, putting up 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Thomas Pulcini, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

GV Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Founders Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-6.

GV Christian has already played their next match, a 66-59 defeat against Needles on the 14th. Founders Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
