Basketball Recap: Louisville Takes a Loss

If Louisville was feeling good fresh off their 51-19 takedown of Ralston last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Louisville Lions lost 52-32 to the Plattsmouth Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Plattsmouth was led to victory by Averi Winters and Jolie Dix. Winters posted 11 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Dix went 6 of 14 on her way to 18 points. Dix continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Campin, who put up six points.

Louisville's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Plattsmouth, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louisville will challenge Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plattsmouth, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Blair at 6:00 p.m. Plattsmouth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
