Rio Hondo entered their tilt with Progreso on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 57-28 win over the Progreso Red Ants. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-34 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Progreso still got an impressive performance from Julio Resendez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Resendez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mathew Zuniga, who posted four points.

Rio Hondo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Progreso, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-15.

Rio Hondo will head out on the road to face off against Lyford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lyford will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Rio Hondo surely won't give up without a fight. As for Progreso, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Rosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
