Volleyball Recap: Aurora Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

After losing to Sidney the last time they met, Aurora decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Huskies came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24.

Aurora had a senior duo take command as Trinity Uhrmacher had 22 digs and one assist and Paityn Wyatt had 11 digs. Uhrmacher has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 15 times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Sidney lost, don't look at Callie Bondegard. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and four aces. Laramey Misegadis also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Aurora is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Sidney, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Aurora has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lincoln Christian on the 27th. As for Sidney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Crete on the 27th.
