Football Recap: Hermiston Comes Up Short

Hermiston fell victim to Chiawana and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Riverhawks 54-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Riverhawks are ranked eighth).

Brayden Medelez threw for 98 yards on 13 of 24 attempts. Ryan Allen was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Hermiston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Chiawana, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hermiston is set to take on their familiar foe Kamiakin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chiawana will square off against rival Hanford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
