Basketball Game Preview: Winneconne Wolves vs. Brillion Lions

The Winneconne Wolves will square off against the Brillion Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winneconne knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Brillion likes a good challenge.

Winneconne is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Oconto Falls, posting a 69-33 win. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Brillion hadn't done well against Freedom recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lions came out on top against the Irish by a score of 61-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Brillion's win came from a few key players that Winneconne will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaitlyn Schuman, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 24 points and seven boards. Those 67% shooting accuracy gave her a new career-high. Amaya Brooks was another key player, putting up 18 points and six rebounds.

Winneconne's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Brillion, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
