Basketball Recap: Green River Comes Up Short

Green River lost against Natrona County back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Green River Wolves had to suffer through a 66-31 loss at the hands of the Natrona County Mustangs. The match marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Green River has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. The win (which was Natrona County's eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Green River will challenge Rock Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Natrona County, they will welcome Kelly Walsh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Natrona County is on a six-game streak of home wins, Kelly Walsh a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
