Basketball Game Preview: Seventy-First Falcons vs. Cape Fear Colts

Two dominant forwards in Alani-Skye Wilkerson and Shanel Sutton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Seventy-First Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cape Fear Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Seventy-First duked it out with Douglas Byrd on Friday. Seventy-First blew past Douglas Byrd, posting a 62-34 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cape Fear earned a 51-40 win over Gray's Creek on Friday.

Cape Fear's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Seventy-First, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
