Softball Recap: Hesperia Takes a Loss

Hesperia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sultana Sultans, falling 13-2. The Scorpions were not able to make up for their loss to the Sultans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Hesperia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angie Villalobos, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Isabela Duffy also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Hesperia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Sultana, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hesperia will challenge rival Oak Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sultana is set to square off against their familiar foe Apple Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
