Basketball Recap: Glen Allen Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Hermitage came into Friday's match looking for another win against Glen Allen, but Faron Friend wouldn't allow it. The Glen Allen Jaguars narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hermitage Panthers 76-74 thanks in part to Friend, who posted 25 points and five rebounds. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Jovin Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to 17 boards and seven blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Glen Allen pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Hermitage, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Glen Allen Jaguars take on the J.R. Tucker Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glen Allen has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hermitage, they and Meadowbrook will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
